Default greyed out

when scanning for updates my update page says scan for
updates incomplete.ive tried every thing microsoft has
written about this problem but nothing changes,i still
get the same thing.also on the left of the update
page,personalize windows update is greyed out so i can,t
even go to the windowsupdate catalogue and get the
updates i need.whats going on at all,is anyone going to
be able to help me as i have had this problem since the
29th march now,its driving me round the bend.

Check date/time.
Follow this link:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
Look for "EULA buttons grayed out/ Script Error..."
Or
"There are no updates available at this time..."
