Default Upgrading hard drive

I am upgrading my hard drive and can't get XP to
recognize the new drive after I copied all the info from
the old drive.....

What exactly did you do?
You can not copy the data OS and all without using an application such
as Norton Ghost if you want to boot from the new drive.

If the new drive is a second drive, try Disk Management:

I did copy the disk using Nortons Ghost and it would not
boot up off the new disk.

Then all I can suggest is double check jumper settings and IDE cable
position.
Try removing all other IDE drives.

Maybe something went wrong, try again.
