re Turn off Low Disk Space warning on 1 drive only?
I couldn't find anything after a search to change the
notification for individual drives (all or nothing I guess) but you could change the percentage for the alert until you find the answer. Sorry I couldn't be of any real assistance. Hard Disk Free Space Notification - Altering the Warning By default Windows sends an administrative alert when the amount of free space remaining on a hard disk drive falls below 10 percent. This percentage can be configured using this setting. Open your registry and find the key below. System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Lanma nServer\ Parameters] Create a new DWORD value called "DiskSpaceThreshold" and set it to the percentage of free disk space remaining before an alert is sent. Value Name: DiskSpaceThreshold Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value) Value Data: 0 - 99 percent (Default is 10) Restart Windows for the change to take effect. -----Original Message----- I've got a FAT16 partition that's strictly used for a constant-sized swapfile that comes as close to filling the partition as possible. Problem is, WinXP keeps giving me low disk space warnings for this drive. I know TweakUI can turn off all such messages -- but I want to be notified if one of my other drives is pushing empty. There's a KB article (188074) that describes a registry edit to turn off notifications on a drive-by-drive basis - - but it's not working on XP. Any ideas? . |
