Default I don't want messenger to start when I run Outlook express

I don't want messenger to load. I've unchecked the appropriate boxes in Messenger option but
every time I run Outlook express it comes up. If I close the program with Right-click on the
Norton Antivirus icon in the System Trayright it close normally.
Can you help me? Tks

In OE, Click on TOOLS OPTIONS GENERAL and uncheck "Automatically log on
to...".

If you have your contacts showing in OE it will cause this to happen.
Disable your contact from showing by going to view Layout and uncheck
Contacts.

Greetings Mos,

If you wish to keep your Contacts pane, you can simply close Outlook Express, then download
and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...ssenger_oe.reg

Then Outlook Express will no longer start Messenger and you can continue using your Contacts
pane.
