Try emptying out your temp folders

startrun and type

%HOMEPATH%\Local settings\Temp

then select all files and delete, do the same for the following next two
folders

%HOMEPATH%\Local settings\Temporary Internet Files
%SYSTEMROOT%\Temp

or if this fails to do this, try changing the location of the temp
directories

startrun and type

cmd

set tmp=d:\temp
set temp=d:\temp

you may have to create the temp directory on d drive.
I am assuming that your d drive is your 20 gig hard drive.

I have 2 hardrives and the smaller 3 gig drive is full but rather than
automatically using the new 20 gig drive I am getting an error message
while
downloading sp2 ,that the disc is full and can not download. What should I
do
Please?

Nothing is automatic!

You must direct the system to use the new drive.

SO:
1.Move the 'My Documents' folder
2.Change location of SWAP file
3.Change location of Internet Explorer Temporary files
4.Choose to install new application on the new Hard Drive

It's up to you: the operating system is a well written suite of programs,
not a brain capable of logical or assumptive thought processes! In fact I
guess it does work like many people's brains!

Thanks for that,as an alternative to your suggestion could I not just leave
the operating system on its own on C drive and copy all other files to the
new hardrive?
The new hard drive and XPops was put in by a computer shop and I would have
thought they would have made it work properly.
