HELP: Slow boot-up after power supply replacement

The power supply recently burned out on my PC and ever since boot-up hangs
for 2 - 3 minutes at the Intel motherboard splash then another 1 -2 minutes
black screen before Windows loads. If I unplug everything except KB/mouse
it boots normally. The hang seems to be either/or my USB external HD or
bluetooth KB/mouse combo.
Should I take the PC nack to the shop for diagnostics or try reinstalling
Windows? Is it possible something fried?

Hi Peter,

It sounds like the system tries to access a not responding device, times-out
and continues.
Try booting with the above mentioned devices attached one by one.

Thanks, done that and it seems to be OK with everything attached/reboot one
by one, but when I reboor again with all attached it goes back to the slow
behaviour.

Maybe the replacement PS doesn't supply enough juice on some rail for
your load.
Try a bigger, known good, PS as a loaner. {Just looking at the
advertised Watts
on the PS label is not always adequate; Amps on each rail matters, as do
ripple, noise, etc.}

I unplugged everything again and then plugged in things one by one,
rebooting each time. Turned out that my Bluetooth dongle was causing the
delay. Uninstalled everything Bluetooth, then reinstalled and so far, touch
wood, everything is back to normal. I was afraid for a moment that the
dongle was fried, but it appears to be OK.
