Agreed, it's clean, very fast (instant for me), and also is a
single executable that doesn't seem to require any installation.
I see among its options that you can select whether it replaces
explorer or not; can't quite see how that would work, unless you
run it at startup, or it actually deletes the default explorer
which would be dangerous.


Agreed replacing explorer, I kept things simple and placed a
shortcut to it on the taskbar. I've been using it for a couple of
months and it's really nice having the multiple tabs. Middle-click on
a folder opens that folder in a new tab, fast and convenient.



Just joint this xp newsgroup and saw your messages.

Downloaded Explorer++ and gave it a place at the taskbar.
Wonderful to open a folder and not see it go to the bottom.....
(Windows 7 here)

You're a bit late for this. The OP died on 1st March 2018. Apparently,
he committed suicide because he couldn't find any replacement for
Windows Explorer.

Why didn't you reply in 2018 when he was desperate for a solution. Were
in prison for your drug dealings?
