Strange internet problem
I can surf the web using firefox, and ie, however any of my other
programs that need to access the web, can not find an internet connection. I have checked my firewall, they are allowed. In desperation I ran a network setup wizard, I have checked the settings on my lan connection. If it was just one program, I would think it was the program, however it is 4 different programs, so it has to be in the pc somewhere, I just don't know where. |

The question is, what are the other programs doing to the web? IE and Firefox only use HTTP port on the internet. If you were using FTP, it's possible your router is blocking FTP ports. It would be odd to have everything but HTTP blocked but, it is possible all the same. |

If this is recent, use Windows' System Restore. |
