Default printer instructions

How can I instruct the printer, in a single operation, to
couble space print a whole document (many paragraphs), as
for a manuscript needing correctrions?

Not something the printer can do..... easiest way to do it.... make a copy
of the original document (call it the same name with an 'a' at the end or
something similar), then reformat the original document (if you're using
Word: Edit, Select All, then Format, Paragraph, Spacing, set it to double
space everything)..... then print the 'a' version of the document.
