To be considered. That said, exclude WinXP from your list!

It's Amateur Radio (Ham) speak (shorthand) mainly used when communicating
via Morse Code (CW) such as when signing off and telling the party 'Best
wishes' etc one would send --... ...-- (73), then when a newbie (novice/LID)
uses this shorthand in voice communications they will incorrectly say
seventy three's when they should be saying seven three instead.

Bill incorrectly typed 73's instead 73, 73's is like saying Best wishes Best
wishes Best wishes Best wishes Best wishes Best wishes Best wishes etc etc
etc.

Well I think everyone can agree ME was a disaster and 98SE was the last true
old school operating system based on the 9x code that allowed users the
flexibility to easily run true MS-DOS and backwards-compatibility for
old-school games.

Good catch!

In some (amateur radio) voice conversations I would occasionally say "give
my 73's to so and so, buddy", as I recall. I wasn't thinking of the code
so much, as I much preferred voice over CW (code), although I knew a few who
really got into code.

I doubt if I ever got up much beyond the required 13 wpm for the General and
Advanced Class. But this was a long time ago, back when Amateur Radio was
actually Amateur *Radio*, and not Amateur Appliance Operators (who have
little or no interest and knowledge in radio).

OK, I think we've got that covered (between Incognitus and me).
What do u mean Eye Candy belongs to you? You've got it backwards, don't
ya? Guys (supposedly) look for Eye Candy, not gals, right? :-)

I came in late. What is the link to the picture of a 1954 home computer?
I agree that binarys don't belong in this newsgroup, but a link is ok. In
fact, this subject is completly off of this newsgroups focus, but I'm still
interested in seeing the picture. 1954 was about 3 years before my first
encounter with computers.
Thanks,
Ken

It wasn't a link, but a rather bad picture.
However, it is a hoax;
