No restore points
I upgraded from XP Home to Pro a week ago about the same
time I received a message back from a "...had to terminate this application...do you wish to report..."message that I probably have "Trojan.Win32.Urbin (msvsres.dll)virus". I installed Symantec NIS 2004 but it wouldn't run. Pre-instalation removed 1 trojan virus, (I didn't verify that it was the same). I couldn't uninstall because I couldn't log on as the supervisor but, somehow, after much ado, uninstall started and NIS is removed. So, now I want to reinstall NIS but it says to disable XP firewall via Network ConectionPropertiesAdvanced tab but, Advanced tab says it's been corrupted and not available, go to System Restore, but I have no restore points. Any suggestions? |
