Default download has ended--> but "open folder" button doesn't work

Hello,

When I download a file I can save it correctely to any folder I want. Then
when the download has ended I click "open folder". I can not do this anymore,
it doesn't link. I have to go allthe way to the windows explorer to find the
file.

What to do about this? I can't find anything on the web about this problem...

Hoping for a quick response and thanks already..

Idleidee,

This sounds like a file association problem, maybe caused by installation of
some software that changed a relevant association.

Is this problem constant for all file types? What browser (Internet Explorer?
Netscape?). What dialogue (window title) is giving you this problem? Can you
provide a link (URL) that is an example of your problem?

If this is an associations problem, you might find more help in the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support forums.

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
