SP2 causes system crash with large numbers of TCP connections
We have an application which makes 1,000's of TCP/IP connections which all
worked fine on XP until we installed SP2. Now when we reach about 2,500 connections we get the dreaded blue screen of death. Does anyone know what the problem/fix is ? |

BCOD is usually caused by hardware/driver issue. If you see any error on the
blue screen, you may be able to use that error to search for a fix. SP2 causes system crash with large numbers of TCP connections
Possible:
SP2 limits TCP/IP connection attempts per second to 10. If this is the issue, you usually get an error message, not a BSOD. But you can try this: http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497 Doug Sherman MCSE, MCSA, MCP+I, MVP "Paul Clarke" Paul wrote in message ... SP2 causes system crash with large numbers of TCP connections
I'm told the blue screen (and event log) contained the following:-
Error code 0000000a, parameter1 c0000000, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804f9ce7. Apparently the screen is difficult to read because when this happens the screen synchronisation goes. Any thoughts ? Cheers, P. "TheThaiTech" wrote: BCOD is usually caused by hardware/driver issue.
