Second, there is really not much difference between a notebook and a desktop except that the notebook is relatively more portable. Third, unlike the desktop, there is a battery that needs to be kept charged so that the notebook can be used without needing to be plugged into the wall...that is, the wall plug is optional. And, finally, use common sense since notebooks have been known to wander off...with assistance. |

wonders. For starters, read the manual, then when you turn it on take the tour
and then when the tour is over, click on the desktop and then press the F1 key. zombonezombone wrote: i am getting a new notebook in a week with a router andi already have cable and i never had a notebook before or actually its a laptop just wandering if anyone can tell me everything i need to knowew with a note book and everything that is important just whatever dos and dont ect............Thanx.Darryl |

It is very importatnt to create a backup of this procedure on CD or DVD. Your manual will tell you how. This should be the very first thing that you do. Make sure you have some blank CDs or DVDs handy before you get the notebook. -- Kerry MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca/forum/Forum.htm |
