hi all,
thanks in advance

modem not listed in device manager.
"PCI simple communications controller" has yellow "?" and properties status
says drivers not installed. where can i get them?

Hi:

Which manufacturer is your mode?
Do you have the model?
Normally you have to go to the webpage of the manufacturer and download the
drivers.

Default modem

Physically examine the modem and look for the largest chip on it. This should
give you the make and model number. You can then either visit the
manufacturers website for the driver or a site such as www.driverguide.com

By the time you have done all of this, it is probably easier to just pick up
a cheap one new!
