pci slot
hi all, thanks in advance
modem not working. device manager pci simple communication controller(which i take it is where the modem is plugged in ) has yellow "?" "properties" says "drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" how/where do i get them thanks again

Or uninstall the modem, then reboot, Windows will detect it
as new hardware and install the correct driver. (Code 28)" how/where do i get them thanks again In additon to what Bruce and Jim have posted, If you have trouble Identifying the modem, obtain a copy of everest or aida32 to assist. A caveat, however, that many modems defeat this utility by being too vauge. You may have to pull out the card, and look for a model number.
