Default Print monitor is unknown

After looking in groups the last day or so for the subject problem, I
ended up coming up with a few answers on my own. Don't know if anyone
else has answered up, but I certainly didn't find it.

Was trying to install print drivers remotely on user workstations and
kept receiving the subject issue. Searched MS KB but to no avail and
ended up finding MS article via Google search.

Probably easiest:
You receive a "Print monitor is unknown" error when you try to install
a printer driver remotely or by using a script on a computer that is
running Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

I also found, if I create a new key and driver value in the registry
with the LanguageMonitor string value from the inf file, it also
installed correctly.

LanguageMonitor="HP LaserJet 5 Language Monitor,hpdcmon.dll"

1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Print\Monitors
Create New Key: HP LaserJet 5 Language Monitor

2.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Print\Monitors\HP
LaserJet 5 Language Monitor
Create New String Value: Name = Driver value = hpdcmon.dll

3. Stop/Start Print Spooler service.

Create New String Value: Name = Driver value = hpdcmon.dll

3. Copy dll file to system32 folder.

4. Stop/Start Print Spooler service.
