TweakUI : "Hide drive letter" does not work
Hello,
I have tried to use this functionality with TweakUI, the drive I want to hide in unticked, but it still shows in Explorer. I also use Partition Magic in parallel, could it be the reason ? If not, why ? Thanks |

TweakUI : "Hide drive letter" does not work
Hi Tony,
See if rebooting the system helps. Reboot is necessary for certain settings to take effect. If that does not help, follow these steps 1. Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.EXE 2. Navigate to the following registry branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer 3. Use the Export option in the File menu to backup the branch to a REG file. 4. Then in the right-pane, delete the value named "NoDrives" (if present) 5. Close REGEDIT.EXE and restart Windows. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows XP Shell/User] Windows® XP Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "tony" wrote in message ps.com... If not, why ? The last three options in that section are set wrong. Use the third option ("Show network drive letters…") instead; that's "Never show drive letters". -- Alec S. news/alec-synetech/cjb/net |
