Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, click the Add/Remove Windows
Components button. Double-click "Accessories and Utilities",
double-click Accessories, and check Character Map. It should show up in
Start Menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools.

Default character map?? whered you go

1. Click Start - Run - type CHARMAP
2. If it opens the Character Map that means only the Shortcut is missing
from System Tools.
3. Right-click on Desktop - point to New - Shortcut - type CHARMAP - click
Next - give a name e.g. Character Map and finish the wizard.
4. Later drag and drop the icon from Desktop to Start - All Programs -
Accessories - System Tools

otherwise follow Elmo's procedure.

Hope this help, let us know!
