Cached credentials not working
Hello,
I have a Windows XP Pro machine that is joined to our corporate domain. When the user logs onto the machine while connected to our network, it works fine (as expected). However, when the user is offline, the user enters the same credentials, and gets the error message: The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain are correct, then retype your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case. I have other users running Windows XP Pro machines joined to our domain (myself included) who log in offline using cached credentials without any issue. I am not sure why this machine would be any different. All machines are SP2 and fully patched. I am not sure what is different. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian |

Thanks, Brian I'd start with the event logs. |
