Recovery Console question
Hello
I have installed Recovery Console from my XP (Home) CD, so that when I start my computer it gives me the option of logging on to the Recovery Console or choosing Windows Home. If I choose Recovery Console (as I need to repair Windows) I see this only: 1) C:/Windows So, I enter the number 1. It tells me this is an invalid command line (!!) and suggests I press help. I have done that and it gives me a list of command line options, but which do I choose so that I can repair Windows? Many thanks. Steve |

Steve Without knowing exactly what problem you're trying to fix it's difficult to give any response better than a guess but something tells me the Recovery Console isn't the tool for the job. Here's an article that outlines what can be done from the Recovery Console. Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058 I think what you're looking to do is a repair installation of Windows XP.
