Default Lost all DNS capability after SP3 update

I loaded SP3 and now I cannot get any DNS functionality. I can ping an
address, but not use a WWW address. I am also getting an error in the
comsetup.log listing as OC_COMPLETE_INSTALLATION
d:\nt\com\com1x\src\complussetup\comsetup\csetuput il.cpp (line 2194) Error
Code 0x80070057 Invalid Parameter
I know the parameter which is bad is the d: part as this is an IOMEGA drive
with nothing in it. I have uninstalled networking, IIS, MSN, and anything
else I can think of (including replacing the NIC). Help -- I'm out of
options. I have run a registry cleaner (found lots of other stuff, didn't fix
this problem).
