Can anyone please help a useless moron (me that is!)?
My son has typed some of his GCSE coursework on his sisters laptop and she is miles away at uni now. When we try and load his work from his memory stick, our computer is saying the file needs to be converted and will not open. I have tried to download a file converter from MS but still to no avail, and I really don't know what I am doing. Have so far today spent about 4 hours trying. When I try and open the file in word, it states "MS Office Word needs a converter to display file correctly. This feature is not installed - would you like to install now", which I then do, only to get the message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package PRO11.MSI in the box below." ?????????? |
