Default lost internet . pls help

hi all,

i have a home pc with 3 user profiles, mines, my wifes and my sons. I was
helping my son with bebo set-up the other night on his account and all was
well. i changed user to my account when completed and wont allow me to get
onto internet. i reset comp, reset modem etc. the system tray says i am
connected with very good signal strength, but will not goto a web page. when
i log off and use my sons/wifes, the internet is ok.

Is it a simple toggle somewhere?

Try at pc shutdown, unplug the modem from electrical outlet, wait 1 minute
or so,replug, start up pc.If that still doesnt work,go to start, type:cmd
In cmd type:netsh Winsock reset Type:EXIT Restart pc.

Hi peter,

Before you could reply i tried the reset thing with the command prompt, and
ended up with none of the three accounts being able to access the internet.
Removed router and wired straight to modem, and 2 worked but mine didn't. Ran
a diagnostic and it said 3 ports were at fault http80 https443 and an ftp(i
think) but cant remember the number. copied all my folders to my sons account
and deleted the account. then created it again and moved my folders back.
I had to reload the wireless disk to get all three to use wireless again.

cheers anyhow.
