Messenger? Windows Messenger? Other?
If I have made a purchase online, shortly afterward, or a day or so later
if I have had to contact via email on the site that something on the order sheet wasn't quite right, I see an "instant message" pop up at the bottom right of the desktop, but it goes away so fast I might see only one word - if the word is large enough, I might see the name of the company, but I can only guess at the full message. These are not ephemeral - I can recognize sometimes what the message must be. It isn't anything I might doubt. Is there somewhere on the computer where these messages are dropped, where they can be looked at? I thought there was a "Windows Messenger" that did that, but I don't see that in Services any more. |

That doesn't sound quite right... Are you saying that the website is using
IM to contact you??? This does not look like a good outcome... -- Randem Systems Your Installation Specialist The Top Inno Setup Script Generator http://www.randem.com/innoscript.html http://www.rndem.com/installerproblems.html http://www.randem.com/vistainstalls.html http://www.financialtrainingservices.org "5tulips" wrote in message ... What's the website?
Are you and/or is the website a participant in http://search.live.com/cashback/? Is Windows Live Messenger installed? If so, what version is it, please? When this happens, open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) to the Processes tab: Is MSNMSGR.EXE listed but Windows Live Messenger's not been launched (by you or otherwise)? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ 5tulips wrote: If I have made a purchase online, shortly afterward, or a day or so later if I have had to contact via email on the site that something on the order sheet wasn't quite right, I see an "instant message" pop up at the bottom right of the desktop, but it goes away so fast I might see only one word - if the word is large enough, I might see the name of the company, but I can only guess at the full message.
