Finding USB Printing support in Device Manager under Universal Ser
For some reason my compoyer Windows XP no longer can find my printer. I
installed a new USB cable and even bought a new printer but can't instal because the USB printing support category went missing from the device manager. How do I get it back and why did it just suddenly stop functioning. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Technical support from the printer companies both identified the casue but no one can offer s solution for installing the USB suppot feature Thanks, Gordon |

USB printing will define a separate printer control port (HP == USBDOT001) To install a USB based printer, you MUST install the drivers before connecting the USB cable between the printer / PC. During most USB printer installation, the driver install process should show a "window" requesting the printer to be connected. |
