Default Lost all Local Connectivity After Windows Update

HELLO -
I have been networking three home computers successfully for some time.
Yesterday I downloaded the two most recent XP/Home Priority Updates, and
today I have suddenly lost all connectivity to the computer to which I
downloaded the updates.
The other two computers continue to view each other just fine.
I've ran the Wizard numerous times, and also tried renaming the computer,
and the Workgroup too without success.
I also tried disabling the Firewall - no luck.
I'm usiing a Verizon FIOS Internet gateway. [Internet connection is fine to
all three machines].

THANX in advance for any suggestions.

Hi
If you lost all connectivity including Internet it might be that the Network
hardware configuration is "Trashed".
Use the info in this page to find out, http://www.ezlan.net/debug.html
If the Internet still working you probably need to go over the Sharing
setting of the computer.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.

THANX JACK - so much !

Things look OK now. I installed NetBuei, and this seems to have done the
trick. [BTW - one of the other machines is Win98].

I also disabled the Windows Firewall, and my Anti Virus Firewall [AVG 8.0].

I will re-enable just the AVG Firewall, and pray that everything will still
be OK.

My three machines are one Win98, one XP/SP2, and this one - XP/SP3. Does
this combination seem stable to you, or should I do something more?

THX for your comment

THX again
