Default Networkdrive doesn't work on Nlite XP Asus eee 901

Hi,

My Network Space Drive from LaCie doesnt work on my Asus 901 eeepc. I
have installed a Nlite version of XP on this laptop, for it is much
smaller and faster but doesnt have all the features. There's a big
chance I dont have some network proces running or something not
installed that is needed for the LaCie drive to work.

When installing the LaCie Network Assistant, it sais:
script: C:/progfiles/lacie/ethernetagent/bonjour.vbs
system cant find the file
80070002
Source (null)

Ofcourse I hope I can keep my Nlite-XP so is there anyone who can
point me in the direction of which file or process to add to make the
drive work? I've looked into this Bonjour process and it seems to be
running on my laptop.

Thanks!
Wouter

Hi
No way to guess what is missing with your specific hardware.
If you want to keep it this way, it the LaCie and nLite people that need to
combine forces.
As a rule when an OS is as interactive as it has to be when using external
connections, it is not a good idea to use general software that cuts parts
of the OS.
Sooner or later something ends up missing.
What I usually do instead, is thorough cleaning of the Startup, and
selective disable of unneeded services.
If something get stuck it is just a matter of Enabling the needed Services.

"Bonjour" is usually a network protocol from Apple.

Maybe, maybe. But the fact is that the eee901 has only 4 GB for the OS
and it is sold only with MS XP, which needs almost 4 GB just for the
OS if you download latest Service Pack, as recommended by MS. Am I
supposed to use it only for internet, paint and wordpad? I don't think
so.
Maybe the best thing for me is to get my money back for it, XP can't
run on it in a way you may expect.
