Default Messenger will not automatically sign in

Messenger is set to load automatically when Windows XP Pro starts.
Messenger loads correctly, but the sign-in information is always missing on
a fresh boot. After I manually type in my Passport email address and
password, Messenger works without issue. That is until I turn my PC off.
I've even added my passport to my User Account (and it is an administer) and
the Passport information disappears after I turn off my PC. I'm thinking
this may not be a Messenger issue, but a passwords issue in Windows XP Pro,
but I don't know where else to look.

Thank you,
Jack
