Could someone tell me how to disable the messenger
service. I don't use it and I keep getting unsolicited
SPAM messages. It is driving me mad.

To disable the Messenger Service, click on Start, Right Click My Computer,
on the context menu choose "Manage", Expand "Services and Applications",
Choose Services, scroll down to "Messenger" and double click it, in the drop
down menu for Start Up Type choose Disabled, click the Stop button then
click apply, then exit out and you're good to go.

This will not effect any programs in windows.
