Default Jump list

I was forced to get Windows 8.1 when my old laptop died. I have been
trying to use it and have now got it so it is a useable system (Laptop,
never will have a touch screen as my thumbs are not long enough to reach
all parts of the screen and my arms get tired holding them up to reach
the screen)

I do like the jump list from the Desktop Taskbar icons, but there
appears to be NO documentation on how to manage them.

I though when I set the number in number in Taskbar and Navigation
Properties Jump List that once this number was reached on an individual
icon, it would roll (Oldest disappear and be replaced by newest)
Tonight I find that that is not the case they just keep accumulating on
the list. (Just for fun I removed all of them in a frequently use
program, there were over 60 items on the Jump list )

I could see no way to scroll through the items on the Jumplist.

Is there a way to review all of the items on any one jumplist?

Is there away to limit the actual items in any one jumplist?

Is there to delete the items in a Jumplist without deleting those items
that are pinned to the jumplist.

MS designed this version of Windows to be unlikeable, and they have
provided less documentation with this version that any past version.

So what kind of Windows 8.1 laptop did you get? What kind of the one
that died? And what version of Windows were you used too?

Touch screens? Well some of my machines has touch screens. But even so,
I don't use the touch screen if I am using a keyboard/mouse with them.
For example, this machine has a touch screen, but I am using a
keyboard/touchpad with it now and I am not using the touch screen at all.

As for all of your Jump List questions... wow! I just kind of use them
mainly for pinning most often used stuff there. The other stuff there
that could disappear, I don't really care about. So I never thought
about all of the questions that you have. But anyway it seems that
others like you want to do more with them. Just do a search for "Jump
List Manager" and lots of utilities pops up.
