Now Netflix and Win 7 Pro
What would the User Agent override string be for Win 7 Pro 64 bit I got
the XP working with the below suggestions: Right-click and create new string key general.useragent.override.netflix.com enter value of Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 This setting does not work in Win 7 Pro. and Seamonkey 2.39. Thanks JAS |

Thanks JAS That string tells the world that your machine has FF42.0 and w7/64. If it does not work then there is likely something else wrong. That is the same UA string you specified in your WinXP instance of Firefox to lie that it was running under Win7 (NT 6.1). Worked on WinXP (to present a false UA string for both OS and client versions) but doesn't work for you under Win7 (where the remaining false part is the Firefox version number). You sure what you think you are specifying for the UA string is what the web browser is actually reporting to the web site it connects? What does http://useragentstring.com/ report for your UA string? Have you yet tried running Seamonkey with all extensions disabled? So far, seems you love a web browser that doesn't work for you. http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/ Seamonkey 2.39 Released November 8, 2015 Hasn't been updated in over 3 months. today 20-Feb-2016 \__ 104 days 2.39 released 08-Nov-2015 / \__ 43 days 2.38 released 26-Sep-2015 / \__ 23 days 2.35 released 03-Sep-2015 / \__ 163 days 2.33.1 released 24-Mar-2015 / Could be awhile until the 7-member Seamonkey Council gets around to fixing their web browser. Have you asked in the Seamonkey communities listed below? They would be more focused on Seamonkey than a newsgroup whose topic is about an OS. Sorry for being such a dummy. Thanks I just did not understand the user string. JAS |
