Default Windows Explorer Slow

Nothing else seems to be slow.
This is fairly recent (around two or three weeks).

I open WE and it fills slowly and when I try to scroll it scrolls slowly
and jumps.

Double-clicking anything seems OK for opening speed.
It is just the WE open and scroll.

What apps might be inter-working with WE to cause this?

I see something I do not remember in the right-click menu:
File Size
Selected Files

I thought maybe "Everything.exe" & .dll) was doing something and killed
all instances but that was no help.

Other apps like "TreeSizeFree" do not seem to be running until requested.

What app is doing that?

Task Manager ?
Process Explorer from Sysinternals ?
Process Monitor (collect execution trace) from Sysinternals ?

Lots of stuff to play with.
