Default XP market share

I am curious as to the market share that XP still has.

When you hear statistics, you have to consider.

Is it based on O.S. reported by the browser.
And that can be spooked.

Andy

I spent my Easter weekend with my 2 daughters and 3 grandkids.

Had a great time. :-)

A supermarket chain in my state still uses it.
Presumably they pay for extended support.

Macy's still uses XP on their registers.

Why would they stop as long as it still works? Registers are not
browsing the web or any of those other things that people say is so
dangerous with an unsupported OS. The FAA was still running the air
traffic control system on 1960s era mainframes way up into the 20th
century because the job stayed pretty much the same. They feared new,
potentially buggy software, more than just being "old".

Now they have a new plan, to get rid of the corridors in which all
planes had to fly, even if it meant going a few miles out of their way
to get to one, and something like giving a path for every combination
of origin and destination. I assume this is only possible with more
complicated software, so since they're changing software anyhow,
they'll probably change computers, if they haven't already.

I guess they have already implemented this to some extent, because new
people are complaining about aircraft noise. I suppose because
flight paths have changed.

I also see the startup screen of a cashier at a supermarket in my area too because of the hard disk fail when I'm in line. It wad an XP environment.
