Default Warning: MVP.org is not a Microsoft MVP site

Back in 2004 ......
=

The Microsoft MVPs have a web domain, mvps.org, which contains what
we hope are a lot of useful articles aimed at being of help to users
of Windows.

We have become aware that there is another domain, mvp.org without
the s, and would advise you all that this has no connection with the
Microsoft MVP program or its members, and may put visitors at risk
of "drive-by" installs of malware.

Microsoft Answers was born, Aumha was ALWAYS shown in Bear's signature.

I get THIS ........................ Do you, too?!!

The connection has timed out

The server at mvp.support.microsoft.com is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in
a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy,
make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

You didn't find the new site ?

That's the old site.

And with the new site, comes a new reward system. The old system
rewarded MVPs for "being helpful in forums or newsgroups". The
new system rewards them for being "evangelists". They don't have to
be helpful - they just have to "sell" something.

Evangelism at Apple was different. The people were paid employees,
and they were generally recognized experts. For example "Tognazzini on UI".
Or Guy Kawasaki.

I did - as a kind of 'Addendum'. I'm pretty sure most folk would
understand that.

I posed a question.

Does YOUR browser find the server at www.mvp.support.microsoft.com ?

Perhaps you'd care to answer my question. Should it be in the negative,
are you aware of the MVP's 'new' support site as mentioned by 'Paul' in
Message-ID: ?
