1394 Firewire and Messenger/Netmeeting
I do not own a Web-cam, but I do own a CamCorder that
connects via 1394 Firewire. How do I get this to work with Messenger or Netmeeting? I hate when Microsoft Messenger/Netmeeting advertises that Video will work, but they never say a DAMN THING about 1394 Firewire. Someone please help me! Thanks

WebCamDv, a small software app from OrangeMicro, will
convert your incoming DV stream to one that Netmeeting can reliably use. $20, as I recall... Please not that I have NOT been able to successfully use my Firewire camcorder OR the converted stream noted above with Windows Messenger 4.7.2009.
