Default Tip: no WiFi Internet Access, but here is

Hi All,

I came across a weird one yesterday after doing
an upgrade from Windows 10-1903 to 2004.

My Notes:

Windows 10:

WiFi icon shows the world symbol instead of the
curved lines symbol. The WiFi connection states that
there is No Internet Access. And the WiFi connection
is working properly:

This is a bug in Windows 10-2004. The fix:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet]
"EnableActiveProbing"=dword:00000001

reboot

I don't know if it is your problem but my computers have recently
received a updated driver from Intel. This is found by going on the
Intel website.

I did not notice any difference, but I am sure there is a reason.

I was the one who put the 2004 update on.

I did not name the drive in my previous post but it was a WIFI driver.

There's another way to get that exact issue, as I get it every time I run
my killswitch, or I reboot (so that the machine never boots back on the
net).

All you do is remove the gateway from the WiFi connection, and then it
needs to be added manually.

You can use the liquidvpn killswitch, but the commands are easy manually:
https://www.liquidvpn.com/vpn-kill-switches/

Disable:
o route delete 0.0.0.0 %defgw%

Enable:
o route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 %defgw%

Where %defgw% is set to your router IP address:
o set defgw=192.168.0.1
