Default XP Customization being RESET!?

By default XP only remembers the customization setting of
400 folders.

If you go to Kelly's corner at http://www.kellys-korner-
xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

and on line 2 download the increase folder view limit reg
file. Click on the downloaded file to merge it into your
registry and up this limit to 8000. You will have to
reset your customizations but they should stick from then
on.

-----Original Message-----
First off I have configured XP with personal
customization to each folder in 4 Hard disk drives.
Customization's would be between Detailed view for my
Root directory and any others with photos will be set to
thumbnails. I also set the window size to about 400x300.

The problem I have been seeing is when I get home and

log
back in, my settings are different. My root directory
shows large icons and the window size is now 1024x768

and
the same for my other directories in other hard disk
drives. The icons would be differnt then normal. Some
would be set to thumbnails that are to be Icons or a
music folder. I can reset the customization back but
after a few minutes my settings are changed again.

I have ran my virus scan on each hard disk drive, even
went out of the way and purchased another virus scanner
and checked again. I was using Norton and decided to try
out Panda Plat7. Neither of them detected any virus' or
bad malicious scripts.

Is there anything I could do? What could cause a problem
like this?
