Default CVDs and Movie maker

I have put together a slideshow of photos and music using Moviemaker. The end product is quite nice when I play it on my PC (with the exception of the negative affect that using the "fading" transition has on the quality of the photos). The problem is I c
an't get the thing to play on anything other than from my hard drive. Is there any way to save the file so that I can burn it as a CVD that can be played on my home Cd or DVD player?

I used movie maker 2.0 but the ONLY choice it gave me to save the "movie" as HiMat on a CD. There are lots of video software products out on the market that allows users to burn cdvs, but MM2.0 seems restricted to HiMat.

You can burn CDVs using Digial Media Plus but it is REALLY limited in what it does (limited in number of photos (50, if that) and music (one song) that can be burned for any one slideshow. And the PLUS! transitions rarely work well with MM 2.0 either.

HiMat is too new and I can't expect my entire extended family to go buy a himat compatible cd or dvd players just so they can see family vacation photos synchronized with a soundtrack of songs.

In short, I need a software solution that will allow me to drag and drop photos to a "filmstrip" insert title slides before a photo if I want, and to put my photos to music (with mutiple music files) in a way that allows me to sync music/photos transitions
