some of these readers software attempts to
enable the numlock on boot. On my computer I had to turn it off in the bios
so the reader software would turn it on automatically when it prompted for
logon pin.

Windows ignores the BIOS setting. Enable it with the Numlock key and
it should remain set on rebooting.

Humm, seems to be some anger here. Might be time for you to take your meds,
don't know about you but I'm stuck with outlook express on my work PC which
has serious problems with providing all the threads and now only spell
checks in french so please, think before...as an MVP, you respond.
