Default microsoft word

When typing in microsoft word dots appear between my words. In addition,
when I hit enter backwords P's come up. How do I get rid of the dots adn teh
P's? Thanks

The first step would be to post this question to a word newsgroup.
The second step would be to connect your keyboard to another computer to see
if the problem moves with the keyboard.
The dots and backwards P charactor most likely represent bytes with the high
bit set, and the most likely source is your keyboard.

The second step would be to connect your keyboard to another computer to see
if the problem moves with the keyboard.
The dots and backwards P charactor most likely represent bytes with the high
bit set, and the most likely source is your keyboard.

Wrong.

The period is spaces and the backwards P is the paragraph. You have the
'show punctuation' on. See if you have an icon on your tool bar that
is that backwards P icon. It will toggle those features on/off.

Tabs is another one. -
Its there so you can see how you are formatting your document.

Sorry Jim for my last response. I should not have put the word "wrong"
in there. I know its nothing, but I don't mean to be nasty here.
There's enough of that going on.
