Blocked downloads on users other than administrator
I Blocked the kids from downloading because of the virus's and I dont know
how to change it now. I want to install a tracker and it will not let me download it under the kids user names. It is downloaded to mine but it wont cover all users. How do I change this long enough to install it? And I know I have a password but I do not remember it how do I retrieve it? Thanks for your help.

Run the installer in the children's account, but modify the properties to
run as Administrator. Right Click the Installer, Properties, Run As.... For lost/forgotten passwords you can boot to Safe Mode, login as the Administrator and make changes ( not recover ). Or use a Bootable tool to reset or Null out any account's existing password. http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ Just blocking downloads is one of many ways "Baddies" get on your PC. Attachments from email, 'Drive-by-Installs' and many others can also expose the PC. Children are VERY computer savvy. Duh, my bad. Make the change yourself: Start/Run/Regedit

Ok I did all that I got to internet settings and that was as far as it would
go. I went in under the kids user names and tried downloading again and it says you need to be logged in as an administrator. How do I do that? I wish I knew something about computers!!! You want to be able to download. You don't want the other users to download.
