How To Customize the Windows Explorer Views in Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...EN-US;q307856&

Open Windows Explorer to an expanded C Drive:

Create a shortcut on the Desktop for Windows Explorer. Right Click |
Properties | Target Field. Add a space and then:

/e, c:\

The Target should read:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:\

Windows Explorer will now open to the C Drive instead of My Documents.

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

For example...

A Google search for:
"Windows XP" "Windows Explorer" start in C:\ drive

Brings up many results:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Wi...+C%3A%5C+drive

The first being:
http://www.theeldergeek.com/start_ex...in_c_drive.htm

Essentially - you edit the properties of the shortcut you use to start
Windows Explorer.
