Default Soundmax missing - need help

I accidentally used Add/Remove Programs to remove Soundmax, so now XP
is telling me I need the Multimedia Audio Controller. Is there a way
I could download a file or would I have to have the CDROM? The
computer is a Dell Optimax GX520.

Of course I went to dell.com but was confused. I'm not sure I have
the CD here.

Does "Multimedia Audio Controller" exactly mean the drivers, or
something to do with drivers?

Thanks.

Go to Dell.com and then to the Download Drivers section. Enter in your
Service Tag. Download the audio drivers to a place you will find them, ex.
your Desktop. It will be something like R3452.exe. Double-click the file
you downloaded to install the sound drivers.
