Default Partition magic Access Violation error

Hello;
I have a harddisk which has 250 GB capacity. I changed my main board
and while re pluging harddisk I accidently change jumper setting to
limit harddisk 32 GB. After that I installed XP in first 32 GB. Harddisk
recognized as 32 GB in Bios. Than I realized and corrected jumper
sttings of harddisk. Other partitions are seem as unlocated in partition
magic. Windows see 32 GB hard drive in my computer. other partitions are
not realized and all 220 GB seen as unlocated which has not any disk
format.

Now I am trying to undelete 220 GB unlocated disk. Bu while it is
checking recoverable partitions in unlocated disk an error mesage
appears.

access violation at 004BDD22 address in module PMagicnt.exe read of
adress 0000004C

I am attaching my screenshot.

please help.

How can I recover
my data on unlocated 220 GB ?

I assume that you mean that you HAD data (and maybe programs) beyond the 32
Gig boundary?

If so, then they are probaly not recoverable in any simple way, because you
installed XP, which wrote several Gig somewhere in the first 32 Gig. It
probably overwrote things like the MFT from the previous installation.

There is a slim chance that a file recovery program could find some files in
the area beyond 32 Gig. The odds are better if you defragged frequently,
prior to the most recent XP install, but never after that install. To do
this you would probably have to create a partition in that area. That
action would probably also lose more files. The following is a link to some
file recovery programs:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads38.html

You might also want to try a web search on "file recovery" and see if you
can find a program that can work with the unformatted portion of the hard
drive.

While at the Major Geeks website, also look at backup programs, since it is
clear that your backup plan is not adeqaute, if it even exists. Remember
that other things than your own actions could lead to data loss, at any
time: http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads3.html
