Been using this printer for couple years now. Somehow we got an "Intuit
Printer" on our computer and everything was going to it and our printer kept
going offline, I went in control panel and deleted the intuit printer and
put ours back online and it did not help, so I tried to delete ours and was
going to try to reinstall it. It is still showing on the control panel
(although it still says deleting). We've tried unplugging everything, even
the computer. Nothing will print even a test from the notepad, but if I do a
test print from the printer itself, it will. How can I fix this?

StartRuncmd [enter]
Now you have a command prompt. Type:
net stop spooler [enter]
This will stop the print spooler and clear all the pending print jobs.
Reboot the machine. Uninstall the HP printer from Add/Remove Programs and
then reinstall it.

BTW, the Intuit printer came from an Intuit program such as QuickBooks,
Quicken, or TurboTax. If you use any Intuit programs, you'll need the
Intuit printer. All you had to do was go into Control PanelPrinters... and
then right-click on the HP's icon and choose "Set as default".
