Default DVD/CD rom drive

I am having a problem w/my CD burner...When I try to burn a CD, I get a
message saying "CD Burner Not Found" and it doesn't reconize when a disc is
inserted.

I went to device manager where i uninstalled and reinstalled the device but
it didn't help, I'm still having the same problem. The device status is:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 39)

DVD/CD rom drive: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D
version:5.1.2535.0
