Default You can make shutdown shortcut

On windows 8, you can make shutdown shortcut. I've looked for control panel
or definitions shortcut but I can't find way.
Do you know if this is possible?

Yes! Create a bat file on the desktop called something like shutdwn.bat

shutdown /s /t 0

Just make a shortcut to shutdown.exe, no need for batch file.

What about definitions shortcut? Windows 8 has wireless on/off switch
located in windows settings but we need to do a lot of clicks to reach
there.

I use airplane mode to turn off wireless.

Charms
Settings
WiFi icon
Toggle Airplane mode

Is that too many clicks?

If we could make a Settings shortcut on desktop would be nice because we
depend on modern area to configure Windows 8.

Well it is probably possible, but I use a Logitech K400r keyboard which
has lots of Windows 8 special keys on it. One of them is a charms key.
Although this keyboard is pretty small and some people won't like it.
But there are other keyboards that does this too. Does that help?

I presume we can do Windows key + i but I was thinking in shortcut to click
with mouse. I've searched but couldn't find. That is no big problem, it's
just a curiosity. Thanks.

Oops! I meant it has a settings key, not charms.

I never tried to put keystrokes in a shortcut, but that might work. You
could do it with a BAT file too, but I don't know how to put the Win key
in a BATch file. I am sure it is doable though.

For control panel, just open it and drag from the address bar to where you
want it; alternatively, open the file location and do the same.

The easiest way to shut down Window 8.1 is to right click on the MS Icon
in the lower right of the Desktop, Select: "Shutdown and Sign out" and
then Shutdown from the popup menu.

The right click on the MS Icon also gives you complete access to all of
the computer functions
