That's good to know! :-)

I actually have an interesting personal story apropos
of that. Around '99 or 2000 I was online and saw a
Microsoft ad for Visual Studio. AtGuard firewall had
a feature whereby one could drag an ad to a "rubbish
barrel". The idea was that AtGuard would see most ads,
but it could also learn. (It was way ahead of its time.
Unfortunately the authors sold out to Symantec, who
ruined it.) I tried to drag the VS ad to the rubbish barrel
but accidentally used the wrong mouse button and clicked
the ad. AtGaurd popped up a message window. "Do you
want to allow DCOM to communicate remotely?"
No! What the hell is DCOM?
At the time I'd never heard of it. Distributed Component
Object Model. A way to run software remotely. Very
handy on corporate intranets. Very risky to enable on
Internet-connected machines. The source of many
attack vectors over the years. Microsoft was trying to
break into my machine through DCOM. (That would
have been the only reason for a DCOM request.)

If it came from someone other than you, I might. But, it wouldn't
surprise me to find out it's true, either. The file you got from me
is exactly what I told you it was. It really is a .zip file, and it
really does contain an identical byte for byte copy of the original
video file as I released it.

As I told you before, I was going to hand over instructions and the
key for the decryption process, until you started providing various

nature. You continue to disrespect my wishes concerning my material,
on purpose, you do this. So, I won't provide you decryption
instructions anytime soon. at the rate you're going, that cypher

Don't feel too bad though, I've kept our email correspondence online

Your question doesn't even make sense, David. It's not even a
suitable deflection from the post I wrote. I've been quite candid
about my past, actually. Although I regret some aspects of it, I'm
not ashamed of it. It's in the past, it's some stuff I did, I can't
change the past, so...

By the same token, there's one thing I am very ashamed of, also in
the past, also unfixable, that I certainly do wish I could go back
and fix. But, there's the timeline to consider and how unfair that
would be to everyone else if I was able to do that. Various outcomes
would change, including my own. And those changes may not be for the
better.

It's nothing on paper, so I'll save you the trouble of trying to find
it. Nothing bad, or evil either. Just a poor personal decision I made
that resulted in what I feel is a loss. A loss entirely for me, not
the other individual.

The article was mostly FUD. Not entirely fiction, but, FUD for the most
part in the way in which it was described, users were led to believe.
MS wasn't breaking into their computers and it wasn't snooping on the
users. It was sending its registration information into MS when
activating, though. Nobody ever said you had to give the computer OS
your real name when you installed it though.

No! What the hell is DCOM?

Well.. break into a is a little bit over the top, imo.

Base sponging officer, I'll have thy head. Leave now thou vain
bibble-babble. Where will thou find a cavern dark enough to mask thy
monstrous visage? Is thy name Mouldy? Thou most lying slave. I do
find thee dankish and bigheaded. I abhor thee, thou second-rate
horse's head. Thy face is such as hath been belched on by infected
lungs. Ye issued from the rancour of a villain, a recreant and most
degenerate traitor. What shall I call thee when thou art a man. Such
bugs and goblins in thy life. Boils and plagues plaster ye over, that
ye may be abhorred farther than seen and one infect another against
the wind a mile. Certainly, there is no truth in thee. Thou would
answer very well to a whipping. Farewell, toilet-scrubbing shrewd
knave and happy fool. Ye speak yet ye say nothing. Never hung poison
on a fouler toad. Die and be damned, ye venomed harlot. How foul and
loathsome is thine image. I have seen drunkards do more than thou. Ye
heareth not, ye stirreth not, ye moveth not, the ape is dead. Courtesy
would seem to cover thy sin. Thou side-piercing sight. Thou art a
great lubbery boy. Thy complextion is perfect gallows. Thou common
hind'ring knotgrass. Ye heartless filthy rogue. Frailty, thy name is
woman. I abhor thee, thou dilatory sloth. Hang cur, hang, ye scurvy'd,
old, filthy, scurry lord. Go rot, pernicious tinker. Thou foul thief. A
monster, a very sole imperator and great general of trotting 'paritors
in apparel. Ye reek as a sacrifice. Where air comes out, air comes in,
there's none abroad so unwholesome as that ye vent. Has thou not a
brain? Farewell, caterpillar. Thou tomb of death. Ye did not flow from
honourable sources. Men are April when they woo, December when they wed.
Thou child of a billowy-headed fell-lurking cur. It is fit that I should
commit offence to thee my inferior. I do desire we may be better
strangers. Ye peasant swain. Ye hath more hair than wit, and more faults
than hairs, and more fat than faults. Thou art like the harpy, which, to
betray, dost with thine angels face, seize with thine eagle's talons. Ye
never broke any man's head but thine own, and that was against a post
when ye wast drunk. Ye speak nothing but madman. An admirable evasion of
whore master man, to lay thy goatish disposition to the charge of a
star. A dwarfish thief. Thou art lumpish, heavy, melancholy. A monster,
a very monster in apparel. Hang cur, hang, ye damnable both-sides rogue.
Thou are not worth another word, else I'd call ye knave. Thou has no
more brain than I have in mine elbows. Teeth hadst thou in thy head when
thou wast born to signify ye came to bite the world. Go, thou profane
coxcomb, I'll hear no more of ye. Say deformed low-spirited swain,
whither wouldst thou convey this growing image of thy fiend-like face.
Ye heartless bottom-feeder. Thou damnable box of envy. Away with thee
thou giglet. Thou dissembler. O ye errant quicksand of deceit, ye
dishonest bawler. Away! Thou art poison to my blood. Thy wit's as thick
as a Tewkesbury mustard. Thou odoriferous stench, sound rottenness. I
find the donkey in compound with the major part of thy syllables. I can
see thy pride peep through each part of thee. Thou cacodemon. What shall
I call thee when thou art a man? I took thee for thy better. Go rate thy
minions, mangy-dog. Slave, waxy-faced, frantic woman! O tongueless lazar
kite of Cressid's kind. Fie on thee, thou onion-eyed devil's dam. A pox
damn ye, ye muddy rascal, is that all the comfort ye bring me? What
rubbish, what offal. Thou art peevish, sullen, forward, proud,
disobedient, stubborn, lacking duty. It is fit that I should commit
offence to thee my inferior. Die, ye shard-borne passy mesaures pavin.
Thy face and thy brain go not together. Now put it, God, in the
physician's mind to help him to his grave immediately. Be packing,
biting bug-riddled mumble-news. The fiend is strong within thee. That is
the silliest stuff that I ever heard. Heaven truly knows that thou art a
bloody Nero. Thou art some fool, I am loath to beat thee. Thy mother's
name is ominous to children. Thou friend of an ill fashion. Peace, ye
shag-haired whoreson jackanape. Away, ye three inch fool. Go thou and
fill another room in hell. Ye art a dry fool, I'll have no more of
thee. I abhor thee, thou underachieving mad misleader. Ye from a child
nothing differs. Die, ye gooseberry. Say grease-covered rascal
fiddler, whither wouldst thou convey this growing image of thy
fiend-like face. Those healths will make thee and thy state look ill.
The complaints I have heard of ye I do not all believe; 'tis thy
slowness, for I know ye lack not folly to make such knaveries. Thou
poor inch of nature. On my knee I give heaven thanks that I am not
like to thee. Ye ruinous butt. Bless me, what a vile thinskin is at
the door. Thou art so leaky that we must leave thee to thy sinking. I
will give thee bloody teeth. Thy bones are hollow, impiety has made a
feast of thee. Pernicious and indubitate beggar. Say bragging
termagent, whither wouldst thou convey this growing image of thy
fiend-like face. I chastise thee, thou serpent. Men are April when
they woo, December when they wed. Base surfeiter, thy words are blunt,
and so art thou. Thou egg, thou fry of treachery. Have ye no modesty, no
maiden shame, no touch of bashfulness? Thy virginity, thy old virginity,
is like a wither'd pear: it looks ill, it eats drily. Ye tread upon my
patience. A new gilded loam doth destroy my sight. Ye from a child
nothing differ. Ye begin a new hell in thyself. Fit to govern, No, not
to live. Frailty, thy name is woman. As loathsome as a toad. Thou child
of a dread-bolted whoreson achitophel. Thou damned and luxurious
mountain goat. I abhor thee, thou art dirty and bellyless. What tempest
threw this whale with so many tons of oil in his belly, ashore at
Windsor. Peace, ye impatient Judas. O most bewildered and warped
outward-sainted deputy. Die, ye most untoward knave. The music of thine
own vain tongue doth ravish like enchanting harmony. Something is rotten
in the state of Denmark. Thou unadvised scold. Do thou amend thy face,
and I'll amend my -life. Thy beard deserves not so honourable a grave as
to stuff a botcher's cushion or to be entombed in as ass's pack saddle.
Thou bitch-wolf's son. Thou art a traitor, false to thy gods, thy
brother and thy father. Damn thee, fly-bitten tedious rogue. O, ho,
eternal devil. A fool, an idle immaterial skein of sleeve silk, one all
of luxury, a king of codpieces, a triple-turn'd whore. Dishonest varlet,
we cannot misuse thee enough. O curse of marriage, that we can call
these delicate creatures ours, and not their appetites. Bless me, what
an earth-vexing egregious dog is at the door. Oh, ye distempered rash
wanton. Ye same purpose clanger, ye sly devil, ye broker that still
breaks the pate of faith, ye daily break-vow. Where we are there's
daggers in men's smiles. Thou finch egg. Base ribaudred nag, thy words
are blunt, and so art thou. Ye destroy my sight with a new Gorgon. Whom
I shall trust as I will adders fangs? O, ho, foolish mild man. Go thou
and fill another room in hell. For I know ye to be a dangerous and
lascivious boy, who is a whale to virginity, that devours up all the fry
it finds. Thou art deformed, crooked, old and sere, ill-faced, worse
bodied, shapeless everywhere, vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
stigmatical in making, worse in mind. Having flown over many knavish
professions, thou settled only on rascal. Heaven truly knows that thou
art a thing of no bowels. Thy head is not worth a hat, nor thy chin
worth a beard. Die, ye cuckold. Thou excels thy brother for a coward,
yet thy brother is reputed one of the best there is. In a retreat, he
outruns any lackey. Slave, friendless, veriest varlet that ever chewed
with a tooth! O gap-toothed vile thief. O base second-rate lackey.
Farewell, sour shame of Rome. Thou great-siz'd coward. Dissembling
harlot, thou are false in all. Ye are as a candle, the better part burnt
out. Say wall eyed slave, whither wouldst thou convey this growing image
of thy fiend-like face. Thou art a tale told by an idiot, full of sound
and fury, signifying nothing. Snakes, in my heart blood warmed, that
sting my heart. Thou Judas, thrice worse than Judas. Thou odiferous
stench. Let's meet as little as we can. So, thou rude-growing old
ruffian, didst thou disgorge thy glutton bosom?

Can that.

I have a complete copy of the post, if you need it, David. ROFL.

I find no arrogance present though. The information provided is
accurate. The file can be unzipped, once you reverse the crypto
that's been placed on it. If Malwarebytes can't handle that crypto,
they aren't going to be doing much in terms of recovery from
ransomware if one strikes that doesn't leave the key(s) behind.

Don't feel too bad though, I've kept our email correspondence
online since the remailer asked about a copy, some years back.
AFAIK, It hasn't been able to reverse the AZ encoding process, so
it's not been able to read any of them. If you told me that
Malwarebytes couldn't reverse that, I'd **** myself with
laughter. Seriously, I would.

I never asked!

Did you show them the pic you shared with us, David? Or neglect to
mention that I told you the .zip had been encrypted beforehand. Oh,
did you think I meant with the archiving program? Nah, you couldn't
have. I specifically told you, and, it's visible in your picture that
you would have no header or other useful information to work with,
inside. Did you think I was kidding?

Your question doesn't even make sense, David. It's not even a
suitable deflection from the post I wrote. I've been quite candid
about my past, actually. Although I regret some aspects of it,
I'm not ashamed of it. It's in the past, it's some stuff I did, I
can't change the past, so...

You claim to be a 'professional' and a reformed character yet are
afraid to have a LinkedIn profile or be listed on Facebook.

Are you questioning my claim? You seem to be confusing afraid with
complete lack of interest, David. Why must I have a LinkedIn profile
and/or facekook page?

I'm sure everyone makes poor personal decisions from time to time.

You have no idea what I was writing about, and, I'm not inclined
to explain it further.

Just reflect on what Graham Morgan chose to do as a fine example
of same.

You shouldn't spread rumors, David.

So very sad and a totally unnecessary waste of a life.
:-(

Once again, you write about something you know nothing about. Very
rude of you.

That's probably true. However, if YOU can encrypt it, I'm confident that
the TLA can decrypt it when I send it to them.

Simply to be like NORMAL folk. Of course, I know you are NOT like us.

I'm sure everyone makes poor personal decisions from time to time.

I know that when individuals take their own lives, for whatever /they/
may perceive to be a justifiable reason, they leave a trail of misery
behind them.

I'm sure you have no understanding, yet, of the UOL. Sad. :-(

After reading that, I'm confident that you do not understand how encrytion
works. Here is a hint, David. Last year, the FBI tried to have a court
order issued to Apple to hand over the backdoor keys to decrypt a telephone
suspected of having terrorist information on it.

Why did they not simply decrypt it themselves?

The majority of the people on the planet do not have a LinkedIn / Facebook
account.

HTTP protocol was designed to be easy for anyone to use to set up his own
web-server without having a 3rd party in control of content & privacy. Most
of my friends who understand the technology refuse to have their on-line
presence shoe-horned into what is essentially a kiddie play area.

Billions *DO* though. It's great fun IMO. :-)

I wasn't aware that Malwarebytes was into taking cracking jobs that
aren't malware related. One would think, with all the problems
evident in v3 of their software package; they'd be more focused on
fixing that. Based on what you've shared concerning Mieke's 'expert'
opinion though, they shouldn't even try getting into the cracking
business.

You really are an idiot, then. You might wanna google the words and
study the subject in a bit more detail if you really think what you
wrote.
