Photo Viewer
Can someone tell me where to find the photo viewer that comes with
windows 10? I've searched everywhere but can't find the file that opens it. I've just come from using windows 7, and I knew where the file was for 7. I have 3rd party software that needs an external photo viewer. I really don't want to install a seperate viewer. Any help would be appreciated. |

If you'd prefer to use the viewer that you know from Win 7 then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Photo Viewer. I use the Photo Viewer mentioned by Peter Johnson, not the Photos app. I see the OP received the asked for answer. In addition... Irfanview has far more capabilities than Photo Viewer. But it all depends on what people's goals/needs are. i just changed set a W10 user's system, which for some reason had no photo default, to Adobe Photoshop Elements. Which is what this user wanted. -- Ken MacOS 10.14.6 Firefox 70.0.1 Thunderbird 60.9 "My brain is like lightning, a quick flash and it's gone!" |

Any help would be appreciated. This changes the subject slightly but I think it is appropriated to the idea behind your question. I have used the MS viewers but find Irfanview much better for handling the task I need a viewer for. https://www.irfanview.com/ It does all that the MS viewers do. In addition you can combine images (Panorama Function) both horizontally and vertically. If you are working with document images, there is an OCR plug in for Irfanview, that convert those document images to text. It can open and save to most image formats including the multi page formats like PDF, TIF, and JPM. It has batch processing capabilities like rename, color correction, resizing, etc. There are many additional function that I have not used. "Try it you will like it." to quote an old commercial. |

I use Photo Viewer to view photos. If I want to do anything with them then I use something else. It doesn't matter that Photo Viewer is 40 years old. I prefer it to anything else. And the so-called ? Good Guy ? doesn't have to be so bloody rude. |
